Yesterday Eileen sent me a blogging blessing, which was very kind of her -- and good timing as well, since I have three little guys whose noses are going like fire hydrants and I'm not feeling too good myself. It was like having someone hand you a big ole comfy robe and slippers and a good book and telling you to go sit down with your box of Kleenex. (Actually I'm not to the Kleenex stage yet, but I have a feeling I might be tomorrow... at least if I follow the same path as everyone else.)
And now it is my great good fortune to be able to share the love. Here's the deal:
The idea… it’s a game of tag with a difference, rather than looking inwardly, we look outside ourselves and bless, praise and pray for one blog friend. By participating in this endeavour we not only make the recipient of the blessing feel valued and appreciated, but we are having some fun too. We’re going to see how far the bloggin’ blessings can travel around the world and how many people can be blessed! Recipients of a bloggin’ blessing may upload the above image to their sidebar if they choose to. If you recieve a bloggin’ blessin’ please leave a comment on this thread here so that we can rejoice in just how many blessings have been sent around the world!
I'm now supposed to bless three other people and explain why I chose them. Of course, I have been trying to limit myself to three people all day, and I can't. So first I would like to tell all of you -- everyone who reads or comments on my blog -- that this love covers you, too. But I'm going to single out a few of you, too, for special prayers.
First of all, Dawn. I know I speak for everybody who's ever read Dawn's blog or met her in person that she is a true blessing to us all. Having a chance to meet her "4 real" last winter in Boston was a true pleasure! Dawn has been having some dental woes of late, and I hope this blog blessing will cheer her up!
Next, Amy. I often feel as if Amy is my long-lost twin. Her children and mine share some special needs, and she has a little guy the same age as my Chipmunk. I always enjoy the honesty she brings to her blog. She and her baby have been through some rough times in the past few months, so she could use some extra warm fuzzies.
Then: Melanie. Melanie has 3+2 kids the way I did when I started this blog. Her identical twin boys are almost exactly a year younger than mine. Her oldest daughter is a gifted young artist and I always enjoy seeing what's up at her house because I can identify with so much of it! But she has recently learned that her daughter may have Celiac Disease and could use some prayers and support.
Now: Marjorie. (I told you that I couldn't limit myself to three people.) Marjorie's oldest daughter reminds me SO MUCH of Katydid. And I love the way Marjorie writes. Her husband recently lost his job, though, and I'm sure prayers would be appreciated! (Marjorie, I am going to be getting back to you about that Tennessee thing, okay?)
Last but not least: Mary Alice. I first encountered Mary Alice on the playschool6 list when I had three month old twins and was going (slightly) insane. Mary Alice had been there, done that, and I continue to scour her blog for hints that I am going to survive two year old twins for another year. (Her twins are three.) Mary Alice just had a baby, and if I lived close, I would bring her food. As it is, she'll have to settle for a blog blessing :-).
Now if the recipients of the blog blessing want to pass it on, they should:
a) bless 3 blog buddies each.
b) Include the ‘God Bless you’ image in their post.
c) Explain briefly why they are blessing the people they are blessing.
d) pray/include in the post the prayer for the recipients of the blessing.
e)The recipient/sender of a blessing should type in the com box of this post that a blessing has been sent to them so we can keep track of how many blessings are being given.
May the Lord bless you and keep you
May the Lord make His face to shine upon you, and be gracious to youMay the Lord lift up his countenance to you, and grant you peace.
Amen.
Thank you Angela - this made my day! Hopefully I'll get to it soon...
YOU are a blessing!

This was kind of you, Angela. I love reading about what your gang is up to, we are taking it 1 day at a time, my twins current favorite activity is to go to the playroom and dump over all of the buckets of toys on to the floor, but at this point if it buys me 15 mins of teaching time I don't really care what they do...
